Accommodation on the site of the former famous spa
Pension Turzov can be found in the recreational area of Turzov, approximately 2 km from the centre of Gelnica and just a short walk from the former Turzov Spa. It is located right by the lower Turzov Lake, surrounded by magicalnature, which offers countless opportunities for relaxation, recreational hiking, cycling, but also for more demanding tourists. The guesthouse is available to visitors all year round.
Economy and Deluxe rooms
Pension Turzov offers its visitors the possibility of accommodation in 2 Economy rooms and 1 Deluxe room. The total capacity of accommodation including extra beds is 11 beds. Each room has its own bathroom and a balcony with seating and a view of the beautiful countryside. The rooms also include a fridge and a kettle. There is also a microwave and basic dining equipment in the common areas.
Restaurant and bar directly in the house
You don’t have to go far for good food or refreshments. There is a restaurant and a bar right at the bottom of the Turzov Guesthouse. In case of good weather, there is also a terrace available for seating. If you would like to indulge in a romantic barbecue on an open fire, there are several gazebos and fireplaces suitable for barbecues in the immediate vicinity of the guest house.
Abundant opportunities for relaxation and exploration in the surroundings
Visitors can enjoy the view of the beautiful surrounding countryside or visit the nearby mining museum and the open Jozef Shed. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for easy and longer and more demanding walks. The surrounding taichs also create suitable conditions for fishing enthusiasts.
During the summer season, a refreshment buffet is available for visitors at the upper Turzov lake (about 10 minutes from the guesthouse), where in the season 2024 there is also the possibility to rent deck chairs or paddleboards.
The operator of the guesthouse and the buffet at the upper Turzov Lake is the Social Enterprise of the City of Gelnica, s.r.o., r.s.p. , which as an integrative social enterprise creates conditions for the employment of disadvantaged applicants, including directly at the guesthouse.
