Ski Mlynky – Dedinky

Ski resort in the village Dedinky is connected with the resort SKI Mlynky – Biele Vody. There are 2 lifts and 2 ski slopes – 520 and 600 m long and one slope for other winter activities. SKI Mlynky – Biele Vody

The ski resort is designed for less demanding skiers and families with children. There are 2 ski lifts and 2 ski slopes 200 m and 550 m long. In addition to skiing, the resort offers refreshments in the buffet, parking directly at the ski lift, ski rental and ski school. SKI Gugel Mlynky

The largest ski resort in the Slovak Paradise offers skiing for all categories of skiers, more and less demanding. There are 3 ski lifts and 6 ski slopes from 150 to 1400 m long. There are two buffets, a ski school and ski rental. During the winter season the resort prepares a number of interesting events for small and large visitors. SCM Frost freezer Hnilčík

The ski resort SCM Mraznica, located in the picturesque part of Hnilčík Roztoky, is an affordable regional resort that will pleasantly surprise you with the quality of its slopes. The longest of them has a length of 1,650 metres and a vertical drop of more than 300 metres. For children and beginner skiers there is a small lift with a length of 100 metres. A buffet, hostel, ski rental and ski service are available directly at the slopeside. The SCM Mraznica resort is directly connected to the Grajnár cross-country skiing area with four marked machine-groomed cross-country skiing circuits.

Trails for cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing area Dobšinská ice cave

The Dobšinská Ice Cave cross-country skiing area is situated in the Slovak Paradise National Park near the village of Stratená. There are four well-marked and mechanically groomed cross-country ski trails with lengths of 2.4 km, 2.8 km, 3.5 km and 4.5 km leading through easy terrain under the Ostrá skala hill. In the area of the common start and finish there is a gazebo available to visitors with the possibility of sitting, storing things, waxing skis and relaxing after the sporting performance. An information board with a map of the trails is placed on the gazebo.

Cross-country skiing area Mlynky – Biele Vody

In favourable snow conditions, six groomed cross-country skiing circuits are available in the village of Mlynky – Biele vody during the winter. Length of the tracks: the circuit around Kralova Hora – 10 km, in the cross-country skiing area tracks: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 km. Possibility of boarding: ski resort – Biele Vody, football field Mlynky. Forest sports complex Grajnár

The Grajnár sports complex is situated 18 km from the town of Spišská Nová Ves in the direction of Rožňava. In good snow conditions there are 5 cross-country skiing circuits 3, 5, 6, 10 and 13 km long. The tracks are machine groomed. Entrance and exit, parking. Contact.

Spišská Nová Ves and Schulerloch

Those interested in cross-country skiing can choose from several tracks. The airport in Spišská Nová Ves offers a 2.5 km cross-country skiing circuit in favourable snow conditions, or even more according to the current situation. Entrance and exit: Letecká Street, direction Smižany – Maša. The 4 km long cross-country skiing circuit can also be visited in the Schulerloch recreation area under favourable conditions. Contact. Cross-country trails Novoveská Huta

A marked cross-country ski trail with a length of 20.5 km leads from the town of Spišská Nová Ves Novoveská huta. It starts in Novoveská Huta in the Stražanská Huta section, continues through the localities of the King’s Spring, Poľana pod Muráňom, leads under the Muráň massif to the Pukanec saddle to Vojtechova samota and back to Novoveská Huta. In case of good snow conditions, there are also two cross-country skiing routes of the Mining Nature Trail (red 17.3 km and blue 4.1 km), where you can learn about mining and metallurgical history and the former life of local people. Unmaintained routes:

Outside the territory of the Slovak Paradise, cross-country skiers cross many summer hiking trails in winter, especially at higher altitudes. For example, you can get from the Grajnár saddle to Geravy or cross the Galmus Mountains. The same is true for the hiking trails in the Levoča and Volovské vrchy mountains. In case of favourable conditions, the winter cross-country skiing on the frozen Hornád River through the Hornád Canyon (length approx. 12 km) is very tempting. Other gorges and canyons of the Slovak Paradise are impassable for cross-country skiers.

Individual ski mountaineering ascents

You can go ski mountaineering up to Kralova hoľa following the red trail up to the entrance to the ski mountaineering area in accordance with the NAPANT visitor regulations.
